The 2019 NBA champions, Toronto Raptors made history yesterday night against the Indiana Pacers, but it didn’t come easy.
Kyle Lowry dropped 32 points followed by Ibaka, with 30, including a huge three-pointer in the dying seconds of the game. The Raptors overcame a 19 point deficit to beat the Indiana Pacers 119-118 for a franchise-record 12th consecutive victory.
The Pacers outscored the Raptors in the second quarter by 25 points, frustrating the Raptors with their smothering defense. Although the Raptors were missing key defence player, Marc Gasol, they have been doing fine without him.
With over half the season completed, the Raptors are now second in the Eastern Conference with 37 wins and 14 losses, behind the Milwaukee Bucks. Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat are third and fourth respectively. The Raptors will face the Indiana Pacers again this Saturday.
