A Chinese baby was diagnosed with Coronavirus 30 hours after being born on February 2, 2020 in Wuhan.
The baby’s mother was tested positive before giving birth, yet it is unsure how the virus spread from the mother to the baby.
Coronavirus infects the respiratory system. Symptoms include fever and dry cough. Those infected will most likely recover fully similarly to the flu. So far there are 28,018 people who have caught the virus, and 563 deaths, and only a few have been children.
The news of the baby contracting the virus raises worry that there could be a new way to catch the virus.
