League Leaders Barcelona Drop Points Against Espanyol

Barcelona dropped points, with a 2-2 draw yesterday night against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium. Espanyol struck first as David Lopez scored a goal from inside the box. The Uruguayan international, Luis Suarez, levelled early in the second half from a Jordi Alba cross. 9 minutes later Arturo Vidal scored to give Barcelona the lead.
Barcelona were reduced to 10 men when Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong was sent off in the 75th minute. Espanyol took advantage of their extra man and Wu Lei scored a beautiful goal in the 89th minute to make the score 2-2.
Barcelona are now first on goal difference in La Liga with 40 points followed by Real Madrid.
