Historian, Oleg Sokolov age 63 fell into the St. Petersburg Moika river, drunk, in an attempt to dispose of the body of his lover Anastasia Yeshchenko age 24. The police found her arm in the historians bag and her body was later discovered in her apartment in St. Petersburg, decapitated. Sokolov’s lawyer reportedly told the police “he admitted his guilt,” he also added that the historians regrets his actions and is now cooperating.
Prof. Sokolov is said to have killed his lover during an argument and separated the head, arms and legs from the body. The historian reportedly said his plan was to dispose the body before publicly commiting suicide dressed as napoleon, as he is a Napoleon expert who has received France’s Légion d’Honneur.
