Liverpool Outplay Manchester City

Liverpool took a huge step yesterday night to open up an 8 point lead in the Premier League. Liverpool beat the defending champions, Manchester City, 3-1 at Anfield. Liverpool took advantage of Manchester City’s low effectivity in the first half and scored 2 goals in the first 13 minutes of the match. Fabinho struck first for the ‘Red Devils’ in the 6th minute with a stunning goal from outside the box. 7 minutes later, Salah scored a header to make it 2-0. Later on, in the second half, Sadio Mane made it 3-0 scoring a beautiful header. The consolation goal came for the ‘Blues’ after Bernardo Silva shot from inside the box.
Liverpool now stands first in the Premier League with 34 points, followed by Leicester with 26. Manchester City drops down to fourth position with 25 points.
Only 12 matches have been played in the Premier League and it looks like we’ve got our winner already.
