Former Chelsea Goalkeeper Peter Cech Joins Ice Hockey Team

The former Chelsea & Arsenal goalkeeper Peter Cech has joined second division team Guildford Phoenix in Britain’s second division league. The 37 year old, who retired from football last summer has signed with the team as a goaltender. Cech stated that he used to play the sport when he was young and that he knows how to play. “I hope I can help this young team to achieve their goals for the season and try to win as many games as possible when I have the chance to play.” 

Cech, who won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League  during his Chelsea career. He holds the record for the most clean sheets in the Premier League history.
