Jayme Closs, 13, is missing after the murder of her parents, James, and Denise Closs. The couple was pronounced dead at their home in Wisconsin with gunshot wounds on 15 October 2018. The 911 call was recorded and had alarming noises in the background, but no dialog occurred.
According to neighbors, their daughter was present during the shooting, although she fled before the police showed up, raising many worries and questions.
Police at the scene found no weapons and there was no sign of the girl either. They are eager to speak with her and have begun a nationwide search, declaring an amber alert. One theory they are working on is that she was kidnapped by her parent’s killers. Neighbors have reported seeing the daughter taken from her home by unknown people.
As the investigation continues, detectives have ruled the 13-year-old from being a suspect, and their only concern is her well-being.
A tip from the Miami police department was sent, stating that Closs was seen at a local gas station a few days later, 2,700km away from her home, though it remains uncertain. She still remains missing despite receiving over 400 tips.
