Rome protests over garbage and damaged roads

Recently Rome has been occupied with protests over the extreme litter and damaged roads. The citizens express their anger in order to gain attention from their first female leader, Mayor Virginia Raggi. In power since 2016, Raggi has created a national alliance this year, although lost popularity as she ignored major issues of Rome.

On Saturday, 27 October 2018, protests began over issues obtaining the city’s left damaged roads, fallen trees, litter, rodents roaming the streets, and their poor public services. Injuries are frequently occurring within the city due to the high reported cases of buses catching on fire, and the collapsing of an elevator. Nonetheless, the issues that leave the people of Rome angered, and wanting a change from their new mayor.
