20 Dead After Zimbabwe Cholera Outbreak
A state of emergency was declared on Tuesday (September 11) in the capital city of Harare after 20 people died of Cholera. Over 2000 cases of the disease have been recorded, according to the Zimbabwean Health Ministry.
Obediah Moyo, the Health Minister of Zimbabwe, has warned that the disease is spreading at an accelerated rate, and advised the citizens of Zimbabwe to restrain from physical contact with anybody during the state of emergency. The Zimbabwean government also launched a crowdfunding campaign to deal with the outbreak, although many Zimbabweans reprimanded this move as misusing the federal funds.
