China creates world’s first ‘forest city’
China tackles global warming and air pollution by creating the world’s first forest city. It is still under construction in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province and is planned to be home to 30,000 people. All the buildings will be covered by a total of forty thousand trees and more than one million plants. The houses will be powered by solar-panelled roofs and the city will produce around 900 tons of oxygen.
