World number 60 Li Haotong held Rory McIlroy to win the Dubai Desert Classic

Li Haotong won the Dubai Desert Classic with late birdies on 13 and 15 and held off Rory McIlroy who started of the fourth day with a two-shot lead. The first ever Asian winner of the Classic earned the biggest victory of his career with a tournament record score 23 under. “Over the last four holes I hit some of the best shots of my life,I just didn’t realise I could make that putt on 15. That was huge. I think that was the turning point,” said Li after the win.
