Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 12 minutes

The Dubai Future Foundation aims to solve its traffic problems with a sci-fi inspired mode of mass transportation. The hyperloop system will be able to travel faster than some airliners at approximately 1,200km/h, just below the speed of sound. The hyperloop system is a ground-based pipeline system that propels people in pods. DFF has already hosted  an international competition to find the best design for the system, and trials have already begun. Their plan is to reveal it at the Expo 2020.
